JoeUser started out as his personal blog site. He opened it up to allow other peple to use it.

You have the right idea- if you don't like it here, find someplace else to blog for free

Tell us what you find. I am new to this and have no idea what is out there - just wandered across this.

I'm with KarmaGirl, find somewhere else. I don't know what your problem would be with the name Brad. If having the owner of the site control content on his site makes you paranoid, seek counseling. I think everyone on this site has a wonderful opportunity to use this free resource. You can blog about absolutely anything you want if you make it a private blog. Go ahead, cuss, call people names, vent all you want just make it private so you don't cause anyone grief.

You can write an article about any subject you want. Just keep it from being an attack in any way. Attacking people on comments to their articles shouldn't be tolerated. That is the main thing Brad acts on.

Maybe Brad is just looking out for eveyone and wanting to make this a nice site to be in. Oviously he has some morals and more smarts then you since he started this site to begin with. I've read a lot of the comments he leaves and most seem to be encouraging and insightful. So if you don't like what you get for FREE by all means YOU should GO elsewhere.

Threead,
don't leave the site just because Brad is everywhere. He doesn't abuse his editorial control really. Like any other user he can delete replies to his articles (you can delete this reply if you wanted), but he only uses that when he feels he's being personally attacked. He does occasionally think he's being attacked due to language and cultural differences but he blocks very very few replies. As administrator he also has the power to delete other users and their posts but has only used this on a single user.
please stay on the site and enhance it's content. Brad even posted a while back that he was going to reduce his postings to try to overcome peoples feeling of big brother watching you.

Also - you know you can link to bloggers specific home pages, right ?? For example, mine is:

http://poetphilosopher.joeuser.com/

and - you can link straight to the forums page:

https://www.joeuser.com/forums.asp

and of course you can link to a particular topic:

https://www.joeuser.com/forums.asp?MID=9

I really don't like the front door cuz it has "featured articles" - which I suppose for the time being means Brad's articles, until he gets a revenue stream from advertizers and then all the featured articles will be for X-10 cameras and Visa companies

Find a place which has:
a) The features you want
A community you enjoy

Cool? And let us know if you find any particularly good.. ahem... FREE, blogging sites.

I think maybee you all take yourselves a little too seriuosly - my advice would be if you are sitting at a keyboard posting articles and and commenst to the internet and getting angry then you should stop for a cup of tea - it can't be healthy- especially if your allready overweight

I think you may find it is you who thinks too much or yourself. Already had my tea, weight is just fine, thanks.

Another ne'er do well, filled with seething rage and malcontentism.

Usually it's not the one who makes the actual article accusing others of taking things too seriously.

And yes, I am everywhere. I see everything you're doing.  So you know what I mean when I say, stop touching yourself!

So...ahhh...why did you start a new blog to post this instead of using your other one?

Is being annoyed by annoyances more unhealthy than being angry at Brad posting on his own site? The nerve of him!
